Dwolla is a very safe payment method. Transactions are constantly monitored for irregular activities. Other than the Dwolla user's name and Dwolla I.D., no additional personal information is exchanged during transactions (nor is it even available!) As a matter of fact, the ONLY information Dwolla has on record is your name, address, and phone number, in addition to your Dwolla username, password, and Dwolla transaction PIN number (this is the Dwolla PIN, not your Debit Card PIN!). As an option, you can provide your social network information so you can send and receive payments through those channels -- Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. You'll find complete details on the Dwolla web site.

Dwolla Is Inexpensive

The only fees that occur are a 25¢ charge to whoever is receiving the payment. The sender also has the option to pay the 25¢ if they choose. And for transactions under $10, THERE IS NO FEE! Also, there are no fees for moving money in or out of your Dwolla account!
